Yes, I do suspect he used performance enhancing drugs. I also believe the American public is a little bit too naive about his potential drug use. Just because Mr. Armstrong is a cancer survivor and an all-American boy, that doesn't make him clean. Cycling (which Armstrong dominated for years) is a sport with a rampant doping problem. Many of Armstrong's toughest competitors (Jan Ullrich, Ivan Basso, Floyd Landis and others) have been exposed as cheats. Are we supposed to believe a clean Armstrong could overpower and outperform so many performance enhancing drug users so drastically? That just doesn't add up.

Numerous allegations against Armstong have been levied, and 2 former teammates have recently admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs.

He never failed a drug test, this is true. But neither has Barry Bonds, and we have had no problem vilifying him for suspected steroid use.

None of this would make Armstrong less heroic in his fight against cancer, or in my mind even make his accomplishments less impressive (if everyone is taking drugs there is no competitive advantage). However we should stop deluding ourselves and realize that common sense indicates Lance Armstrong probably used performance enhancing drugs.

No way, not Lance. Why can't people understand that some people just have more drive than others. His heart is 30% larger than most people's are, and he has the drive.

I read the article that's gracing the front page; did anyone think it's a little TOO biased? This guy who wrote it is POUNDING Lance [indirectly, as to not attract attention], and it's REALLY not fair, because Lance hasn't been found guilty of, or even accused, of doing anything illegal.

Some people are just better, and some people are just out to crush the public image of those people. Leave Lance alone, go pick on Bonds for a while.

Anyone who has carefully followed professional cycling over the past 15 years (and not just followed Lance Armstrong's success) would have to be really naive to think Lance did not use performance enhancing drugs. But, hey, all of his main competitors used EPO as well. So, all things equal he was still the best rider. He was the best doped up rider in a doped up sport.

He used EPO to survive chemo treatments while overcoming cancer. He never tested positive for any performance-enhancing drug during his racing career.

Why can't people just understand that he trained harder/smarter than the others, and much like Tiger Woods, was more focused on winning than they were? He put together a strong, focused team to help him, and rode tactically smarter. It's not that hard to understand, really.

No he didn't use steroids. He has passed every drug test thrown his way and the only reason all the hype was created was because he did so good throughout his career. It's too bad that if an athelete does well, the world thinks he must be on steroids.

Nope, and OJ is innocent too.
He did it.
Although, everyone does bad things he has done a great deal of good.
If you had a chance to execute Hitler's mother before he was born, would you?
If you could cheat, win, become rich and famous, and in the process raise millions, become and inspiration to fight and use your fame and power to affect positive change in the world, would you?
He's still an admirable guy, even though I think he did it.
