It is very frustrating to receive calls from a bill collector when you've already sent them written communication telling them to stop, have laid out a payment arrangement that fits your budget, and have been faithfully making those payments without fail as per your arrangement. If you're doing what you should, there should be no reason for a bill collector to contact you unless of course, you miss a payment.
BTW, not everyone who runs into financial difficulty is looking to not pay the bill.

Collection agents live for only one thing. To get your money. As much as they can, and as fast as they can.
I've read the tear-jerk stories of some collection agents here who say they will work with people on their debts. But I've never, ever actually seen it happen.
Yes, people have an obligation to pay their debts. But when life turns crappy and they no longer have the MEANS to pay the bills, just what are they to do? The collection agents do not want to hear this. So they get abusive, and in turn the debtor gets mad and upset and fights back.
If collection agents were all so sweet and understanding, then why did the government have to pass a law designed to specifically regulate them, and tell them what they can and can't do while collecting debts? It got so bad the government finally had to put a stop to it!

Depends on the bill collectors ^_~
if it's for electricity/credit cards/rent/ other payments, as much as i'd love to just stop it all and hang up the phone on them, i know i'm not frusterated with them, but at myself for getting myself into this mess, after all they are just doing their job...
but there has been a few times i've gotten quite mad at some people.... like the time i went to Gold's Gym, just to see the prices and the guy tried to get me to sign up and i wouldnt, and mentioned i had no money so he said "That's okay, how about this, just give me 5$ cash right now, try us out for one day, and if your not happy , come back tomorrow, i'll give you your 5 bucks back, and we'll sign you off and you wont have to worry about a thing, no charge whatsoever, so i gave him the 5$, signed up, came back the next day, just to hear him say "Sorry, nothing we can do you're signed up" and he flat out didnt care what he said to me the day before, ........
~.~;; so bam there went $2,000 and yes i was quite annoyed over that,
or the time i signed up for a martial arts class, they claimed i could stop at any time, which i couldnt etc, and o.O another $1,000
i was mad, but i know that i couldnt be *too* mad, since that fine print *was* there, just not something *noticeable* but nonetheless it was there............

they are issues that could purely be chanced on after hundreds and hundreds of trials. and of direction, strict restrict needs to be in place. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, because of the fact the foundation of technology is often changing with the aid of new discoveries, we could desire to even have sympathy to the drug enterprise besides. they are no longer miracle makers, they simply attempt to make earnings by way of advertising some thing that they "think of" could help human beings. think of the international devoid of antibiotics and different drugs, how lots of human beings might ought to die? It's not the fact that they call, it's the harrassment that makes people mad. They know they owe the money, they don't need to be harrassed about it. Even after you tell them your situation, they still continue to bagger you.

I don't think people get mad because the collectors call. But they do get mad (and rightfully so) that the collectors violate their rights, threaten them, call them names, lie etc., etc., etc.
I guess you "like it" people lie to you, threaten you, violate your rights etc.
*shrug* whatever rocks your boat
