And you were there 10,000 years ago to to see the old rocks?
Are you saying you believe the reports of the rocks because you read it in a book? (The bible is a book too. Don't tell anyone.)

The Earth is only 7000 years old. Who can tell how old a rock is anyway? Carbon dating is totally inacurate. It once proved that a live snail was 40,000 years old. It's much easier to believe the Bible than all the preposterous theories that are being thrown around by persons who believe the earth is billions of years old.

There is actually no hard, true evidence that makes proves the age of the earth. Carbon dating has been proven countless times how faulty it is, and that is what has been used to determine the age of these rocks.
In fact, recently scientists did carbon dating on a LIVING mollusk (clam) and the results said that the clam had been for thousands of years. So much for accuracy. The mollusk wasn't even yet.
Hope you get your facts straight.
God bless!

I'm a Christian and I don't think that. You need to learn not to assign a trait or traits to all members of a category or group. I am well aware of all the eras and the dinosaurs. I have a Masters. Actually the fundamentalists think the world is about 6000 years old. BTW you might want to edit a bit more carefully.

Rocks have to do with age of earth or planet.
Gen.1:1,2 [ All exist, billions in time evident];
Day or age one, on through Day or age 6, [ 41,870 years ], Has to do with earth in prepration for intelligent inhabitation.
Day or age 6 a short time [ 130 years ], and day or age 7 is world
now age 6,072 with some as allowed to go, then Rev.20:1-6 adds 1000 years.

Yea, they date the rocks by the fossils they find, then turn around and date the fossils by the rock layer. Could this be "CIRCULAR REASONING." Quit trying to justify man as a "god" and read Gods word. Thousands of years, only been proved right, never wrong. I'll take that over any "theory" of mans design.

Catholic Christians most certainly do not beleive that. Its not possible. In the OLD testement, the time before Jesus way over 2000 years ago Daniel is shown a rainstorm. A HUGE downpour that you cannot even see through. Then he is shown a light sprinling of rain. He is told that the huge downpour is howlong the earth has existed and the sprinkling is how long it has left. So obviously...uh....the earths pretty dang old! some people need to get their facts straight

I'm not sure. What I find really amazing though, is they will put down the methods used for dating the earth and say it's wrong. Yet, they will support those same methods when it's dating texts found (Dead Sea Scrolls) or other religious icons (The Shroud of Turin). I'm not sure how you can say those methods are wrong till they support something you agree with. Seems rather dishonest to me.

There is no definate proof of the age of ANYTHING from tests such as carbon dating.
There have been instances where carbon dating was done on live trees and they were shown to be millions of years old. So this method isn't entirely accuarate

They never said how long God took to create the earth look at the variety of plant and animal life we have.
Could have took billions of years.
We just said that man being the last thing created came on the scene no to long ago. Probably 10,000 years ago.
