It means he can't tell you what's really wrong. If a guy says this... dont listen to him. even if it is him... its still partly you. The issue is that when 2 people break up.... its because the 2 of you dont work together. Considering that... he knows who he is... and what he likes..and what he needs... he should be able to know whether or not you will work out during the relationship. If you aren't what he needs...then he breaks up with you. Thus...IT IS YOU... and not HIM that he thinks needs to be fixed...or changed....or in this case...swapped out for a new Girlfriend. If it was HIM and not you, he would change whatever issue he was having with himself and make the relationship work.

It means that he feels the problem isn't you but in the way he feels about you. He doesn't feel that you should change in any way, just that you aren't the right person for him. He's saying that the problem is that the person he's looking for isn't you.
I honestly think it's one of the most honest ways to break up. Because it usually is just a question of incompatibility, and not there being something wrong with a person.

From a guy ill tell you that it means that he is dumping you and he cant come out and say it so he trys to make it sound like he has a good reason but mostly he is dumping you for some other girl.

many boys are born dumnb so they dont know what good they have infront of them them so when they say is me not you then mean it backwords is you not me and just some do mean is me and not you so if a boy tells you that then dont even cry a tear and if you do make that tear the last one but make it a good one

It means you were proabibly moving to fast for him or there is something he dosent like about you, so he let you down easy, I wouldnt push it,trying to get back with him

If he is the typical horny male, it either means: (A) You don't do it for him: or (B) He was initially attracted to you but realized it's not worth all this effort to get you in bed.
It may also mean that he's gay.

HE means it's you .. But in most cases it IS him. He is not ready for a serious relationship and that is not your fault. Tell him he's right and let it go.
