My step mother had endometriosis for twenty years before her hysterectomy. She gave birth to 4 children. after each pregnancy the endometriosis was better, but a tuba-ligation sped up the process by far. Just find a doctor you can trust, who will take the time to talk to you about all options and available way to get pregnant. If you don't trust the doctors opinion get a second opinion.

I had a friend who was told she could not have children due to endometriosis. She had two surgeries to remove the endmetro. and got pregnant shortly after each surgery. She has two wonderful little boys now. She did end up getting a hysterectomy when her youngest was 2.

Hubby's sister in law had to have surgery to correct hers. They tried for 10 years before she had the surgery and 2 years later she had a baby girl, and 3 years later and another baby girl (now 9 &6 years-old). It can be dangerous to get pregnant with this condition because if there is enough of an opening in the tubes for sperm to get through it can cause a tubal pregnancy.

i believe that woman with endometriosis can have children, doctors dont know everything. my sister had cervical cancer and endometriosis and was told she would never carry a child to term well now she has a healthy 4 year old son who was born right on time and was perfectly healthy!

My mother has/had endometriosis and the doctors told her she couldn't have children. But she got pregnant...twice, with my older sister, then conceived me when my sister was about 8 months old. But this was 31 years ago so maybe medical technology was different then. I think it is possible and I know of other people who have it, was told they couldn't conceive, but ultimately did.

Absolutely. Even stage IV patients have gone on to have healthy, happy children. While Endo is a leading cause of primary and secondary infertility, there is absolutely no reason to assume that because Endo is a factor, pregnancy is a total impossibility. It's not. Sometimes definitive treatment and even IVF assistance is needed, but absolutely, healthy pregnancy and delivery should not be automatically ruled out.

Absolutely. It happens ALL THE TIME. Endometriosis does NOT make it impossible to conceive, it just occasionally makes it a bit more difficult.
