There's nothing you can do. Just be yourself, and if he asks out someone else because you're too shy to ask him first, you should have a back-up yourself. Life's too short to put all your hopes on one person. No one's that great. Especially in high school where the options are everywhere.

Way back when I was in High School, I saw this really cute boy and I wanted to meet him. He was a year a head of me and so we didn't have any classes together. I walked up to him and asked him out. and gave him my phone #. Well some 30 odd years later we are still together, have two beautiful daughters and 3 of the most wonderful grandchildren in the world. I'm not saying maybe you'll marry the guy, but if you don't ask him out someone else will. Don't wait until he's already taken.

This is the 21st Century...by all means ask him to the homecoming if you want to. If you're not that bold....at least start talking to him and being friendly and let him know that you are definitly interested in him. He will either respond in kind or he will back away...but at least you will know and won't dwell on a hopeless relationship.
But, it sounds to me that he is definily interested in you..but maybe he is shy too. So, go ahead and make the first bold move and see what happens.
As for the friend liking him too....may the best woman win.
The early worm gets the worm.

Well, to tell you the truth, (and you did say to be honest), I'd first think about my good friend. You said that she is your "good" friend. If I were you, you two should talk to eachother about it, and express your feelings. Yes, I know that sounds really tacky, but listen... what if you ask the guy out and your friend gets mad at you? Is a boy worth losing a friendship over? I really don't know, but I think you should first conclude this problem. If your friend is as "good" as you say she is, she might just let you have him. But, if she double crosses you, or she seems self-ish right at the moment you ask about the guy you like, then you might as well go for it, cause self-ish friends aren't worth being friends with. Just remember, who's more important the guy you like, or your "good" friend? Well.... hopefully you make a good choice, and above all GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Well it could be all of thoes, it just depends if he likes you or not, but the way you explain it, it seems as he likes you, and if he likes that much, and you friend asks him out he would say no, taking the chance that he might get to date you. I'm having some of the same problems so if you want you can go into my profile and email me and we can talk about it some more if you want.

Yes, he's flirting. He's definately flirting. Ask him out. You're only hold up now is how close you are to your friend and whether you'd rather lose him or her if it came to it. If she already knows you like him, then it's probably ok. If she doesn't and she told you first she was interested in him, then it doesn't matter that you saw him first, because then you're being deceitful to her by pursuing him.

Yes, he's flirting so flirt back. Just casually ask him if he's going to homecoming. If he doesn't take the hint then maybe say, "Oh, I'd like to go but, I don't have a date do you?" (I'm brazen but, was never left home alone) Get to him ahead of your girlfriend! I know he likes you. Good luck and please get back on here later to let us know what happened. I'm excited for you! :)

Is he dating anyone? If not, talk to him more. Since you've made contact with him via myspace.com start a dialouge with him. Aske him if he's going to homecoming. Don't wait for him to ask you to the dance, ask him first. If I were you, I would go ahead and ask him to the dance. You have nothing to lose but all to gain.
Good luck.
