I've got a drawer full of stamps and I'm not sure how to use them.

In the USA the following rates apply:

A = 15c
B = 18c
C = 20c
D = 22c
E = 25c
F = 29c
G = 32c
H = 33c

After that they stopped using alphabet stamps. I've heard it was because they didn't want any "I-rate" jokes!

Starting with the next rate increase (probably next years), the USPS is going to issue "forever" stamps that will always be valid for mailing a first-class letter, even after multiple rate increases. Should cut down on confusion.

u.s. postage always are worth the value printed on them.
a 39 cent stamp will always be 39 cents in postage.
very old stamps may be worth more as collectibles.
for stamps with a letter (a,b,c,etc)check with the post office. they are still worth the amount they originally represented.
