Good question! As I was telling another gent in another question, too people claim the name (Christianity) but don't walk the walk...know what I mean? We must keep our eyes on Christ and follow Him in every way possible, study His word (the Bible), and keep up the vital connection of prayer....it's the only way we'll make it--by His grace; not by our own merits.
PS) I'm not a Catholic...so...can't go with the virgin Mary thing.^^
I mean, yes she was a virgin, but she's not co-redeemer with Christ.

Peopel are ignorant.
just because someone says " I beleive in God", doesnt make them a christian by default.
and a lot of people will claim to be christians, but are hypocrytes.
Virgin Mary is not holier than any of us, so the concept of praying to her, or to anyone else who has been canonised by the canon society or the catholic church is blasphemy. To pray to someone other than God is to worship a false Idol.
I hope that helped.

Just because people believe in the divine doesn't mean he/it did all the things that have been attributed in stories.
I don't believe God created the Earth, and I'm an ordained minister. The belief system is just different.

Many people say they believe in GOD but that doesn't mean they're all Christians. If they really, believed in Him, they wouldn't question His authority.
