Yes certainly you can because the smoking process is also the cooking process and it is intended to basically be served cold as it comes although you can add it to cooked dishes too add flavor.

sure, it cooks when its being smoked...just like smoked turkey. I would never recomend eating smoked red meat in raw condition though
