So I've been told that companies operating small planes in the north of Canada are short of pilots. Is this true? Which companies should I definitely apply to?

I am a licensed pilot, even though I would need to convert my European license to Canadian.

First you have to be a licensed pilot, with accreditation. From what I understand most of the flight companies are independently owned and operated, sometimes single entrepreneurship. If you are a pilot, I would travel to Canada and head North. Airports are usually marked on maps.
