Ok, if a pretty decent looking guy, who is both smart and funny, in a fraternity, and is a nice guy were to walk up to you randomly and ask you out because he thought you were cute or attractive, what would you do (if you were single)?
Im interested in knowing as I have always avoided doing this as it seems like it would be too weird to do, but I am single and really need to "get out there" and date around at the very least. Im almost 20 now and of course, in college, and I want to hear what your opinions are of this. Is it offensive if a guy does this? Will you brush it off as a sleazy come-on?
What then should a guy do to get a girls attention, whom he has never met?

I am not sure if being in a fraternity has anything to do with the question.
Most girls would find it flattering to be walked up to and asked out ... but if you are standing around with other frat brothers and laughing about it, then you can be sure we would think it was a silly Rush prank!!!
Instead of just walking up to her and asking her out or for a phone number, go up to her and say: "Excuse me, I've been noticing you for a long time and I don't want to seem to forward, but I would like to get to know you better."
Then ask her to meet you in a public setting ... a Starbucks or restaurant. Be casual and not too deep ... and enjoy simple conversation. This will earn her trust and she will then be open to dating.

If you go to the same school you have the opportunity to "bump" into the girls at different places. Watch where they go or follow them into the cafeteria and get on line behind them. They will get to know your face and then you can start saying hello. Once you have that down then you can tell if she would be willing for more and then you take it from there. I'm not saying you cant just walk up to them but in your situation its better to let them see you around first and then make your move.

well you should go up to here and ask her there is the possibility that she will say no or is taken but there is also the possibitlity she is not. If she says no then there are other girls dont put yourself down because1 girl said no there are many others. I like type of guys like you but i already have a fiance sorry

I don't think it's offensive at all. However,it does depend on what you say. I personally like a guy to come up and try to get a good conversation going. You should try it out sometime.

All women really want is straight up guys who in all of there honesty just want to go out with all of there security. What are you waiting around for? All that stuff you mentioned looks good on paper, but it's the one who's not afraid of rejection or failure that succeeds in life.

hmm how to put this in a nice way?...ok. dont just walk up and ask a girl out because she looks "hot" or "cute" yea know.. say hi and start there see how the girl acts if you think you guys might have somthing in common well then talk about it..... because if a girl finds out your just talking to her because shes cute she will be REALLY mad she'll think your looking for one thing so becareful and remeber...... looks arnt everything either!

i wouldnt go out with a complete stranger. u should get to know them first and dont ask complete strangers out ask someone whos in ur school or something cuz it wud be really wierd if some random guy came up to me like that.

i just walked up to this really cute gal in a bar once really i waited for her to come out of the bathroom and then i walked up to her and interduced myself i ended up takeing her home and dated for months
