Why not compromise?

Eat more food to satisfy your mother (Mom's are usually right) but pick and choose what food's you are going to eat.

Stack on the veggies, both cooked and raw. Veggies are both low in calories and high in fiber so they will keep you feeling full longer. This will make both you & your Mom happy.

PS add some green salads sprinkled with lemon jiuce. Again very low calorie, high fiber and nutritious.

If you are really serious about getting in shape, and want to prove that to your mother, find out how many calories you burn in a day. Find out how much calories you get eating the way she wants you to eat, and then find out how many you get eating your way.

If you are trying to get definition, you have to burn less than you eat. You still need to eat however, just stay away from greasy foods, and fast food.

If you are trying to gain muscle mass, than you need to eat al the time. High protein foods, and yes, even some fat.

A rough estimate would be 1 gram of protein for every pound you weigh, and you MUST exercise.

Well it is natural for your Mom to worry about how much you are eating.
However it is the nutritional content that is more important than
the quantity of food.

Are you working out??
Make sure you take in enough nutrition to support FAT loss not muscle loss.
I am glad that you are concerned about your health.
all the best to you.

It is a fact women have more body fat than men.
Our bodies go through more changes as well, without the proper foods you could neglect what your body and brain needs!
Like they said, listen to your Mom.
If you want to define your body, try working out!
To have a "great body" takes work, NOT, starving yourself.
