She is a 4 year pld pitbull. She sits on our couch and stares out the window, digs through blackets, and when we pet hers she purrs! I don't understand it! She also likes to lay in the sun and get a suntan and she's not to fond of water. What would cause these behavioral problems?

I have no other pets. I used to have a gerbil and hermit crab. But she did stay two weeks with my grandma who has many cats but she acted this way before.

She dosn't like other dogs. Those are the only things cat like that she does. Other than that she is a normal dog.

Hum! A trans-species dog!!! What'll God think of- next?! I don't know what to tell you! If she starts scratching on the furniture- & comes down with cat fleas (as opposed to dog ones; there IS a difference!!!), -I'd take her to a Vet & see if he has any suggestions. Maybe your dog just has an Identity crisis... -Or is hanging out with the wrong crowd (literally!). I guess as long as she's happy- you shouldn't be too concerned. I guess even dogs can have "issues". :)

I wouldnt say they were behavioural problems, science has proved the cat more intelligent than dogs so congratulations, you have an intelligent dog!

Sounds like a dog to me! He may be a little lazy...Digging is a natural dog instinct, but it sounds like you just need to get your dog some more excercise and more outdoor exposure. maybe you could get him a friend?my dog doesn't like water either.

Do you have cats? My dog thought that too because she was never around dogs! It should be normal.
Hope I helped some! :)
