God is omnipotent and yes, He allowed 9/11 to happen to wake us Americans up. And it did for a while. But now we are turning away from Him again. This is very scary if you think about it very long. Just look at other world powers who denied God, diliberately went against what He says in His word - Babylon, The Roman Empire, etc. And just look at Israel, His own chosen nation- what happened to them when they forgot God? They were allowed to be overtaken by their enemies. We are just asking for it with the laws we make and the do what ever you want to do,"it's all about me" and no one can tell me I'm wrong society we have. God surely must be cringing at our television shows, movies, books, and the way we live in general. I doubt it will belong before He allows the same thing to happen the USA. i love being an American but I have to ask why should we expect God Bless the USA when we don't give Him the glory with our actions? We had better wake up and soon!

Christianity isn't discredited. That's a lame example. If you knew anything about (any) religion then you would know that some religious people believe that God is all powerful and we have free will. We have the freedom to do certain things and live with the consequences. Terrorists had free will do make occur. Some would say that God intervened on 9-11 but not in the way some would have wanted. I'm not going to get into this with you because of the way you worded your question, you don't seem open enough to hear a possible explanation.

I am confused as to:
"god is either all powerful (as they claim) but he allowed 911 to occur"
Why by allowing that to occur does that make Him less powerful? You must remember, He HAS to let people make their own choices. He would not be a just God if he didn't. We must have our agency, that is part of the plan.
Also, God WILL step in if there is something or someone going to get in the way of the buidling up of His kingdom here on earth, but usually not until then. Maybe it sounds harsh, but that is also where trust and faith come in to the picture. If you truly trust and believe that the Lord knows what is best, then you can more easily accept the bad things that happen.
Just because He did not stop it does not mean He could not have, He doesn't love ALL who died, He wasn't sad when it happened, or that He has second thoughts about not stopping it.

Ok... so I say God is all powerful, and allowed 911 to occur. How is Christianity discredited exactly?
I saw God move more on that day 5 years ago than I had seen Him in the 10 YEARS prior.
Average people became heroes, men and women sacrificed themselves for complete strangers, there was more food and water donated to sustain the entire nation for a week. ON and On I could go. God was worshipped and fear drove people to church to hear of the gospel for the first time.
Again - how was Christianity discredited?

I really can't follow your logic.
Why would God have wanted to stop 9/11?
Can you give TWO valid reasons?
How many murders are there annually in the U.S.? Deaths due to drunk driving? Much more than 5,000 ANNUALLY. And how are the offenders treated?
While I certainly do not support the destruction of the World Trade Center (and its occupants), and while I do sympathize with those who lost family members, the 9/11 incident was blown out of proportion.
Why didn't you ask why God did not prevent the tsunami that destroyed hundreds of thousands, if He is all powerful?
I'm a conservative Christian

God didn't make 9/11. Other people did like the prez who didn't listent o people who told him that something was gonna happen. And the lack of communication even before the planes struck. So yeha God lets things happen and He lets them happen for some reaon. Everything happens for a reason not coincidence. There was a reason why God let 9/11 happen. Maybe he has a plan for those people who had to die. God always does something for a reason. God didn't say that there wouldn't be stuff like thsi in the world happening. If ther was no sin in hte world then people wouldn't be dying. He can take away your pain but also give it to you.

Because of His omniscience God knows everything but He is not a control freak. Yes He knows that 911 was about to take place and am sure He must have given warnings or signs, but at times, we are so busy doing our thing, that we do not pay attention to the hand of God or the writings on the wall. I remembered in January 2001, a Pastor by the name of David Paul send a tape for me, which I still have today in my possession, and he prophesied about a fiery explosion that is about to take place in the USA it went into greater details, he even mentioned terrorist activities. I did not take it serious also. Are you crazy, no one would dare come against the mighty America. So I am pretty sure that God has given us some sign or warning, we just didn't bother to take it serious. Am also sure that God must have spoken to the terrorist and pleaded with them to change their actions, but God will never come up against the will of man, because it is not His character to do so.

Satanist can't have it both ways:? satan is either all powerful (as they claim) but he allowed 911 to occur; or he is not all powerful and couldn't have stopped 911.. in either case.. Satanisty is discredited....

Whew! Good Lord, your logic is twisted!
Get this one more time...Freewill + God = True Love
Predestination + God = Slavery
We are no longer slaves, but sons and daughters in Christ!
Freewill includes the decision to choose evil = 911 terrorist! God does not FORCE His Love.

firstly... because apparently many Christians do not recognize the Bible. you'd be surprised at what number circumstances we listen human beings let us know they are quoting Jesus even as they are fairly quoting Paul, or Peter, or Jude, or some different person thoroughly. as well: do you imagine that once you get kept that God instantly away poofs magic Bible recognize-how into your head that something human beings are not conscious about by employing in basic terms reading the damned difficulty? Get actual! so some distance because the numerous question is going, many Christians will cite New testomony passages like Romans a million, or some possibility remark Paul makes in a million Corinthians about the effiminate (KJV rendering) not getting into the dominion of heaven. it really is all high quality and sturdy, except that they take the a million Corinthians textual content and use the NIV there ("gay"). My Greek lexicon does not say that that word interprets to "gay." It easily renders it as "the passive spouse in a gay courting." On accurate of all this, they are going to say those different guidelines they pick to brush aside are ceremonial or nutritional rules, which do not word. So, to recap: they use possible remark from Paul in Romans whose broader context is our effortless experience of morality pointing to God, not an invective hostile to homosexuality, so that they take it out of context. And apparently in accordance to at least a million Corinthians, God likes topsies yet not bottomsies. and definitely, we'd want to consistently have self belief some Yahoo clown without different credentialling than that their Rice Crispies supplies them secret Bible recognize-how upon accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. otherwise, the Bible is a mass of jibberish to non-believers because we are a lot less literate than kept Yahoo clowns by employing default.
