German Shepherds are highly intelligent dogs and should be easily trained.
Dog are den animals by nature and crate training is not only a great training tool, but also great for her to have her own space when needed later in life. Below is a link that talks about the benefits of crate training. Do NOT use a crate as a punishment or leave her in there for long periods of time. I also included a link for training. German Shepherds are perfect for obedience school. It is an investment well worth any money paid.

Here is what you have to do. Buy some tape, buy a plastic bag. Take the puppy, and put the bag inside the puppy, so when the little bastard poops, you only take the bag off. Put a subliminal message to the dog, buy a microphone, andsay a message "Don't poop you little bastard", then edit it and put it on subliminal frequencies to the dog, that way the puppy won't poop, all the poop will be caught inside so he will now be a poopy.
I know, I'm not funny. At least I try to be.

CRATE! crate her at night. keep the crate in your room so you can hear her whine when she needs to be taken out. make the night time potty time as short as possible. just lead her to the designated spot, say go potty, wait 5-15 minutes and put her back in her crate. take her out first thing in the morning. keep her on a leash when ever you have her out IN your house. If you don't catch the dog in the act, it's your fault for not watching. as soon as you see her start to squat, carry her outside, and say "go potty". eventually, if she doesn't get it, you might want to just lead her outside with your leash.

Crate training is the BEST method of housebreaking. Dogs do not like to use the bathroom where they have to lay.
Purchase a good crate and acclimate her to it by rewarding her for going into it. Put comfy blankets in it. Give her toys to occupy her. As soon as she comes out of the crate... bring her outside. Reward her when she does go outside like she gave you a million dollars!!!!!
Hope I helped and Good Luck!

The best thing I can recomend is crate training. Your pup will learn where she likes to go...so if you keep her in her crate, and ONLY let her go where you want her to, she will eventually want to go to that place all the time. It will take time, and patience. Take her out after naps, and every meal, and if she doesn't go, put her back in her crate for 20 minutes or so. Praise her when she does go, and let her play where she wants after she goes.

Feed her 3 times per day and pick up her dish when she is through..same time every day.
Take her outside after every feeding. She will go about 5-15 minutes after being fed, at her age. It will take awhile for her to learn/develop bladder control, but potty should be easier.
Feed on a strict schedule, so that she isn't fed just before bedtime, as she will need to go shortly after being fed.. walk until she poops...She will need more frequent outings for peeing...Walk her just before bedtime, to make certain she is empty..
Never scold for mistakes, but give lavish praise every time she goes outside, like she won the lottery.....Pups can only hold their pee for 1 hour, per month of age..So, its important to empty them just before bedtime..
Use the same word every time.
The most important thing is to watch her closely, and scoop her up and outside when she begins to act restless, turn circles, etc. soon she will whine and look at you when she needs to go.
Be patient...If your patience wears then, talk to your mom, and ask her how long it took to potty train you...How many times she changed your diaper, and bedding....lol

Train her ands train your self to let her out 15 to 20 mins after she eats or drinks. She is a puppy dont expect her to hold it in 8+ hours while you sleep or go off to work. You need to let her out more to relieve herself. When you let her out go outside with her and prasie (by playing with her or loving on her and in a nice happy voice good girl) her for going outside. She will eventually learn to not go in the house. If she does go inside that means you didnt let her out in time. Set your dog up to be sucessful and that usually means that you need to change your habbits to help them and yourself have a better realationship with your dog.
