It can heal, but it isn't because of the people laying hands on them, it's the power of prayer and the faith they have in the Lord, bottom line is one piece of scripture that many Christians keep missing, the Lord heals WHOM HE WILL. In other words, if it is in His will for that person to be healed, then it will happen. But He may have other plans for that person.

Not necessarily. The laying on of hands by itself doesn't heal. Nor does prayer of itself.
It requires two things. First, the person ministering needs to be born again of God with the spirit of God in Christ in them.
Second, both the one ministering, and the one being ministered to need to believe that God will heal.
Then the healing will take place.

Yes...believe the Word of God, and know that it is not the hand itself that heals, but the power of God using that hand as a vessel of faith to send healing thru it...it does happen and it's miraculous.

Yes, IF the person holds the Holy Melchezidek Priesthood who is giving the blessing and both the blesser and the person receiving the blessing have faith to be healed.
I have been given many Priesthood blessings in my life, some from my father, husband, brother in law...and they all worthily held the Priesthood and in all I was healed almost immediately.
The Priesthood is a wonderful blessing and power the Lord has given us.

Yes, I have witnessed others being healed and have been healed my self through prayer, and the laying on of hands.

It is a matter of faith...
Mark 11:24 "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
Your prayer should be in the direction of thanking god for getting what you prayed for ( It's a hard to have a strong faith like that.. but we have to believe in God's power )...

I've never heard of any concrete proof that laying of hands works. But it sure can't hurt.

In the form of reiki, it really works.
Reiki therapy is even accepted in conjunction with traditional medical treatment.
http://www.reiki.org/FAQ/WhatIsReiki.html
This is quite different, however, from "laying on of hands" in "faith healing."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faith_healing
Though I have personal experience with the effectiveness of reiki, I have never experienced traditional faith healing.
