She stole a 400 dollar purse from this one rich girl, and got caught.
She's getting arrested for it or somthing, but what happens?
I'm good. I mean I haven't stolen anything in my life and so I really don't know much about this topic.
Will she have to spend the night in juvie or somthing?
Will she have to pay a fine?
She has to go to court...
Can anyone who has been in juvie before tell me everything that happened? Like, if they decided to put you in juvie, did you have to go there the same day that you went to court? Or do they asign a different date for you to go pay your time?
Do people get finerprinted and all that in juvie? What about mug shots? Haha...
Will she even have to go there? Or will they give her another punishment like community service?
I'm really curious to know lol.

and yeah she is going to court first ..... but i wanna know like if they make her go to jail... will they make her go on the same day she goes to court or will they give her a certain date to go?

a girl at my school stole this other girl's vera bradley and it had $200 in it and tons of gift cards. the school didnt really do anything about it but they never made her fully pay it back.

To begin, different states have different laws regarding a juvenile offender. But in general I would say that she would be placed on juvenile probation, have to meet with a Juv. court officer 1-2 times a month, and not get into any more trouble. If she gets caught again then the penalties would be more severe.
She will be made to pay for the items she has taken and may be placed on some form of probation by the school, (depending on school policy) or may be expelled.
No fingerprints, no mug shots, no story in the local paper.
Alot of cities don't use community service anymore because it requires a member of law enforcement to supervise the people doing the service and they don't want to pay the overtime.

More then likely she will be put on juvenile probation if it is her first offense, the time of probation will probably be one year. She will have to see a probation officer once a month and not miss any school, if she messes that up then they will write a violation report to the judge and she will have to go back to court again at which time it is up to the judge if she goes to jail or not.

It will depend on a lot of things. For starters, your school policy. Second of all, it can depend on how the girl who owns the purse acts. She could probably press charges or something. Lastly, it will depend on the area you live in and what is legal/practiced with minor crimes, etc.
