Take your time and do plenty of research. Talk to those whom you trust, talk to your minister, go to an area Catholic church with a friend. Be armed with all the information you can possibly gather before you speak to your parents. Speak to them in a non-confrontational manner and be prepared for them to resist your desire. Be respectful of their wishes if they resist you; you are a minor living in their house and are subject to their ultimate authority. However, even if they prevent you from attending Catholic service, they cannot prevent you from learning as much as you can about the faith and converting once you are an adult if you wish to.
Finally...
There is a spell check feature available to you, or you can consult an on-line dictionary! ;)

I wouldn't confront until you've made a decision for why cause controversy unnecessarily. Since you use the word confront I'm inclined to think this news would not be good news to your family-when you do decide perhaps you can 1-thank your parents for raising you as a Christian and then explain what attracts you to the Catholic faith and so forth. Perhaps you can invite them to 1-attend Mass with you and /or you all get together and talk with the priest and perhaps he can explain the differences and the similarities between Catholicism and the Baptist Faith. Good Luck and commend you going to church.

You have been privilaged to be brought up in a Christian home.
You don't say why you are considering converting to Catholicism, but you will know that the Bible teaches that it is by grace we are saved through faith, not of works lest any man should boast.
While there are many nice catholic people out there, they believe a lot of what is contrary to the Word of God, the Bible.
For example, they believe that to have your sins forgiven you go to confession with a priest. It is only Jesus who can forgive sins.
Please consider carefully here.
You don't say whether or not you are a Christian.
Your willing to contact me if you so wish.

baptist, Catholicism, Nazarene, pentecostal, etc. to be honest what matter is your walk with Christ, not the denomination you follow. i am a Pentecostal with messianic beliefs, but either way i follow the teaching of Jesus Christ and god the father. i hope your parents understand , because you are still following Christ and the religion you your family followed may not be whats in your own heart. its whats in your own heart that matters. i didn't have a family who had an actually church denomination. they allowed me to choose myself. i went thru many religions(denomination) they excepted it, but when i went where i am now they talk to me more about Christ than they every did as any other. my only religious mistake for myself was being a Mormon. they taught good food storage and woman's group crafts, beyond that i didn't learn much of Christ.
one commit , have you started attending a church that practice your current belief? if so wouldn't they know? if they don't wouldn't that hurt worse than telling them the truth. you should see more about your path, tell your parents you wish to look into that path. he should be understanding as long as it still a following of Jesus Christ.

First, I would think you need a lot of information pertaining to both religions. Talk to people who are involved in both. Compare, see what you are most comfortable with. Dealing with parents and family, should be easy. No one is supposed to judge anyone. They should be lucky that you even have an interest in religion because a lot of individuals do not.

well if you go to a catholic church they may put you inan RCIA program where you learn about the ctholic religion. there is no commitment until easter when you can choose to join the church or not. So if you want to do this covertly for a while till you figure stuff out i'm sure the church will be willing to help you learn about catholicism

Before you talk to your parents or make any major decisions.....go to the library and read at least two books about Catholicism.
It has pros & cons just like all religions but you should know what they are before you go any further.
