the choice is really just what I feel like eating but since I cant decide I let you good people think for me, so far the response has been for the new thing mostly so I will try it out. I expect it to have some grilled peppers and possibly some schallots in it, otherwise pretty much bbq sauce, some chicken in some form, I havent decided, and some extra extra sharp cheddar. Perhaps add in a little cream or some really soft cheese like riccotta for textrure.

It's amazing what you can do to lasagna and still have it taste good. I made lasagna once, substituting 1/4 inch sliced zucchini for the noodles. The rest of it put together the normal way, with layers of cheese and mushrooms, and onions, with meat sauce. Turned out a little more wet than usual, but tasted really good. It would be perfect for those people on gluten free diets.

BBQ chicken sounds good. I have tried mixing up lasagna like that a few times, and they are usually good. The thing is, it depends on what you're in the mood for. Also, my boyfriend always gets so angry when I tell him we're having lasagna, and then when he gets home, I'll mention it's like Mexcian Sausage Lasagna. He'll love it, but say how all day he was thinking about how good a regular italian lasagna would be! LOL So, it depends on the mood and what you're expecting!

Go for it! My Mexican Lasagna worked out great! I used corn tortillas instead of wide noodles, and jack and cheddar instead of ricotta and mozerella. Chicken or hamburger filling. Top with olives, clarified yellow onion, and bell pepper. And of course, spaghetti sauce (a cheat - enchilada sauce would have been better.)

For something different give it a go, use a chicken type sauce with the bbq sauce rather than the bolognaise and then build it as you normally would.....sounds very nice. might experiment a little here myself. bit of a salad and the jobs done

If it aint broke , don't fix it. Decide instead if you'd rather make lasagna or some kind of chicken casserole.
