We just ( today) bought a 1996 Honda accord because our van has been in the shop for over a month and we badly need a car until it gets fixed and we can sell it. So we decided to get a small used temporary car until then. So we got this car and once the van is fixed and we no longer need the accord, my parents are going to sell the honda accord to me because I will be needing it soon.
The car is dark green and we got it for 4,500. Does that sound good?

There are a lot of variables that determine a car's price, and the details you've provided make it hard to say whether you car is worth what you paid.

The range for a used 1996 Honda Accord sedan is roughly 3,500-5,000. For what you paid, I would say it's good if the mileage is relatively low, the paint job is good and the basic amenities(air, radio) work.

You overpaid by $2000.

If the mileage is around 100k I'd say you did ok.
