Your employer can't require that you work during the hours you're in class, but they can schedule you on a school day whenever you're not in school. Your job and income and future references all depend on your showing up and being a reliable employee.
Our daughter works 2 jobs and goes to college full time. She has given both employers her school schedule, and the one employer has her working Friday and Saturday evenings while the other one has her working after 3:00 when she gets out of school, and she also goes in for about 1 1/2 hours when she's between classes. She wants the money, job experience, and the good work ethic listed on her recommendations from her former employers when she graduates and applies for her "dream job".
A good attitude and hard work ethic will take you far in this world. We taught both of our kids that nobody appreciates someone who doesn't want to work. Everybody admires someone who will work whenever they can.

If you want to keep your job you will go to work when they schedule you to come in. Let your boss know if there are some days that you are bogged down in classes and let them know that it could affect your performance at work. If they don't want to help you out find a new job that will work around your classes and leave your present job.
