Hello:
1. Sea Kelp is mainly taken for the iodine as it is one of the highest sources of iodine known. Iodine helps/regulates the thyroid gland and associated glands such as the pituitary. It also contains high quantities of minerals and vitamins. It is not generally used for weight loss. Many people include Sea Kelp in their diets for these health benefits. The Japanese are one culture who eat Sea Kelp regularly as in Sushi.
2. Aloe Vera is a moisture rich dessert plant known mainly for it's external skin remedies such as sunburn and dry skin issue's. It is also used internally for it's vitamin's and to boost the immune system. It is thought to be a laxative from it's cathartic properties of anthroquinone glycosides. Newer evidence suggests that mucilaginous polysaccharides contained in the Aloe Vera have healing molecules that aid in discarding irritants, enzymes and mineral salts which can irritate the digestive tract. These polysaccharides are glyconutrients that are just now being known for their cellular benefits. Also the anthraquinone glycosides, polysaccharides and resins, when taken internally, have a cleansing effect on the body due to their effect on the digestive tract which makes it useful for treatments which require internal detoxification.
3. My best advice (I'm not a Doctor) is to try coffee enema's. These have been used for years to detoxify the body, especially the entero-hepatic circulation system. Caffeine causes the liver and bile ducts to empty into the small intestine for elimination These enema's will not waste minerals or electrolytes. It is safe and the caffeine is not absorbed into the body like drinking it. 32 ounces of coffee is sufficient. Your body circulates all of the blood through the liver every 3 minutes so it has to be held for at least that long before elimination of the fluid.
Please do some Internet research on it. Go to: http://www.optimalhealthnetwork.com/pilot.asp?pg=coffee
on the net and read about it. Also find a good doctor of natropathy and go see him.
4. For weight loss increase raw fresh organic vegetables and fruits and eliminate bleached flour, sugar and fats. Remember the fat rule.
If it doesn't melt at room temperature it isn't good for you! As it stays hard in the body too and the body can't eliminate it. Stay with olive oil, flax seed oil etc. No Margarine!!! Margarine is one molecule away from being plastic!

Just by chance, I have read about those sea kelp in a paper today. Lab experiements on rats shows that they does get rid of 5% - 10% of fat, mainly on the belly. But even the scientists advices if taken by human it would need huge quantity for its effect.
Best stick with bio-yogurt, fruits and veg.
