I asked this question earlier today, but only got a few answers, presumably creationists were occupied elsewhere at the time.

Please detail here exactly how much of Darwin's work, or related evolutionary scientific literature, you have read. I don't care whether it's The Origin of Species, The Descent of Man, The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals or his work on barnacles. You might have read Dawkins's The Selfish Gene, Gould's Ontogeny & Phylogeny, or Bowler's The Non-Darwinian Revolution. I don't care if it's only one page (though I think it should be more), I'm really curious to know how much any of you have read to be so certain there is no truth in evolution. Sermons by non-scientists don't count. If you have read nothing, or very little, please explain how this works for you.

joelgehringer, I was very careful to say Creationists - not Christians. What's the point of life? For the atheist, there is none. Why should that make any difference?
spastikmunky and bullsfan_1971, I'll tick the "Nothing" box for you then.
Paradise, you're an atheist troll trying to prove my point by unsubtle means. Thanks, but it's not necessary.

Jengen36, I'm afraid I haven't the slightest idea what you are on about, but I'm going to assume you're telling me you've read nothing that would begin to explain how evolution functions. The branch of evolutionary studies that looks into how humans breed with other species is a mystery to me.

I am a christain and I never said there is no truth in evolution. However, that doesn't mean it's the whole truth. How can it be said that God was not at the head of all things and begin the process of evolution?
What do you think about the concept that all things are created? Do you believe that we are here by accident? What's the point to life then?

I read darwins orgins of the species and found it to be quite a good read, very logical, and very nice, and nowhere in it did he say man evolved from monkeys. However i still see a fault with many evolutionary theories.

I agree completely. It's so funny to hear people dismiss evolution when it's obvious that they have no idea what the theory is even about. Actually, I take that back... it's first depressing, THEN it's funny. Like a friend of mine always used to say, evolution makes a lot more sense if you know more about it than "monkeys turned into us".

IF I inform you that I unquestionably have study an exhaustive checklist of works relating evolution, will it exchange the reality which you will nevertheless think of that i'm incorrect? Does your declare which you have study the Bible exchange the reality that i think of which you're incorrect. Your fact is incorrect. maximum questioning Christians have not at all refuted evolution. no person that i understand has ever reported that there is not any reality in evolution. The evolutionary theory as that's utilized to the uncomplicated ancestry is unsuitable. no person has ever shown it, subsequently it remains a theoretical kind. that is exciting to notice which you disclaim sermons by ability of non-scientists as "not counting".... might it then be honest for me to not incorporate works by ability of non Christian scientists in my assessment or examine? Why might anybody make a considerate determination with out weighing the completed physique of information. In my ideas, it takes as plenty if not greater faith to have faith the evolutionary kind, on that is very own, solutions the questions of the beginning of guy. enable's not ignore that the regulations of opportunities make it an severe long shot for all times to start interior the way that maximum evolutionist describe. in case you notice an intelligence at the back of the technological expertise... it makes greater experience. I won't bore you with my examining checklist or my credentials. maximum probable they would be discounted if not by ability of then you by ability of others, yet suffice it to declare that I unquestionably have not in hassle-free terms study yet studied the Bible interior the unique textual content textile. I unquestionably have study and studied maximum scientific literature concerning biology, chemistry, physics, physique shape, genetics etc....

At any time did a man mate with any other animal, ape looking or being or a monkey being and produce an offspring that produced an offspring?
The same applies to a woman doing this, did any ever do so?
.
Seed produces after its own kind and all humans can mate with all humans and produce and reproduce.
So until this happens, I will not take time to consider any speculation about anything.
The imagination of man is wild from his youth, if he gets it tame enough to learn any thing he has accomplished alot.
The sure thing is that all species produce for that species and fact is fact.

I read "Origin". I thought it was interesting, but obviously outdated. It seemed more like well-worded fiction, to me.
I haven't read his others yet, because they're harder to find (our hick library doesn't really carry a selection of Darwin books!).
