It's supposed to be a sign of some vitamin or mineral deficiency, which is why pregnant women are said to crave ice chips so often. There's nothing wrong with eating ice as long as you don't overdo and don't want to eat more nutritional things.
And if you're outside, avoid those yellow icicles at all costs! ;-)

Dentists really don't like it when you do it. Talk to my mom...she has a false tooth from biting into an ice cube. She did it when she was 12 and from what I'm told her tooth turned black after she did it.
If you like to eat ice make sure that it is in crushed form not a huge chunk.

Chewing ice can damage fillings and other dental repair work. On regular, healthy teeth it won't do much damage.

not for your teeth but u want to try something fun???well listen closely put salt on your skin then put ice on the salt thats on your skin and c what it does...oooo man its sooo much fun!!!!
