See if the handles are oven proof and if the manufacturer's instructions say that it's OK. Some pots can be baked in until 350 degrees or more -- depends on the brand.
One thing that I have heard about non-stick cookware is that it can give off harmful fumes. I have no idea of whether or not that's true, but you might want to use something that doesn't have a non-stick finish.

do you mean a crock pot? As long as the pot is removable from the heating part and it's oven safe then yeah you can put it in the oven.

Most cooking pots have handles on them that are not oven safe. Unless the pot is all metal I would not try it.

Yes, but it has to be oven safe. No plastic parts on it. Get the good cookware.

Check and see if it's over safe. Some are to a certain degree. If it's okay, then do it...if not, you'll get smokin plastic!
