People ask questions for different reasons. They may know the answer, but want differing opinions. Maybe they don't know where to start researching. Maybe they just want to know what others think.

I would guess that many people see this place as a playground.
Some questioners do try to irritate some folk and I have found there are some characters tag one another(answer eachothers Q) with insults. like Osama W Bush and others
I believe if someone post a question like 'what do blue and red make?'. and 'is it unhealthy to eat snot?' they deserve any answers they get.
I am convinced some people don't think about the answers much and others care allot...I find the wariety of answers to odd questions to be very entertaining....
.. also this is a way for hostile angry people to bully others....whey they really need to get a life.
the questions vary greatly depending on time of day...
the thing that bugs me is not knowing if the questioner will close the question in 6 hours or 6 days.

I don't know why people do that. Perhaps just for the fun of it. But why do you mind so much? I also see a lot of answers that are really well meant and really help full, so maybe that's the kind of answers you could focus on. Never mind the belittling ones. They're just not worth it. And sometimes, well, I do think it's a bit funny. But only sometimes. Just don't take 'm so seriously dear.

Others may belittle a person simply because they have issues with themselves and their own perception of themselves. It can range from jealousy to insecurity. At the end of the day there is no need and people who do this should not be given the attention that they seek.

Good point!! I suppose the people who belittle people are people with issues which they dont admit to!!
More often than not, you'll find those exact same people actually re reading all the questions and answers in the hopes that they find the answer to their own niggle in life??

I evaluate (others would disagree) that i'm a Christian, yet i doesn't criticise or belittle others religions, or lack of. To me, which will be an un-Christian portion of do. those that do are forgetting the "do unto others, as you'll have them do unto you." merely undesirable manners. All every person ought to do with the hateful rantings of others will be to dismiss it and forgive them. countless the yankee Christian classes that are being aired in Australia at recent are very nerve-racking to me; completely in assessment to the christian church homes I have visited interior the previous, so I do exactly not watch any of them. i trust maximum religions are surely worshipping a similar God, yet they're only following diverse variations, yet i'm no longer attempting to transform every person to my way of wondering both. do not anticipate every person to consider me, yet i don't think of i will pass to Hell both (decide lest you be judged). Please ignore concerning the hurtful rudeness of others. It truly isn't mandatory, and that i'm confident that's totally un-Christian.

i agree and i find it extremely annoying when people do that. i do occasionally, however, give stupid answers to stupid questions if i'm incredibly bored or want to make a point. i try to never belittle an honest question even if i think it's stupid but some people are just too arrogant or obnoxious sometimes.

I truely feel that some people belittle others questions because they themselves didn't have the courage to ask it.

I think it makes some people feel important if they can make others feel like they are not important or stupid. It's a lack of self-esteem on the belitter's part.
