Jesus never existed and Jospehus is questionable because it shows signs of being an interpolation. It does not fit in the paragraph and breaks up the flow of the entire chapter when read in context. Josephus, being a Jew, would have gone into great detail if an impostor Messiah was running around claiming miracles.

Evidently, you don't know much about Josephus.
1. He was born in A.D. 37.
2. Most of his four works were written before the end of the first century.
3. The following passage has NEVER been successfully disputed, "He [Ananias] convened a meeting of the Sanhedrin and brought before them a man named James, the brother of Jesus, who was called the Christ, and certain others. He accused them of having transgressed the law and delivered them up to be stoned" Josephus, "The Antiquities" 20.200
How can THIS Jesus, the Christ, be confused for any other Jesus?
Since you have already rejected the Bible and its authentic historical records, AND all external sources, what kind of question is this?

Josephus - he was a historian, I don't think he was a Christian, but he wrote about Jesus.
It is a historical fact that Jesus existed, whether or not everyone believes he's the son of God. Are you a historian? Why question the existence of a certain person without doing research first.
Also, Josephus wasn't the only person besides the writers of the Bible who mentioned Jesus.

First of all, the name isn't as important as who He IS. Jesus was the word of God made flesh. You won't find any bones of Jesus here, but birth records from the time and place are documented. Even the predictions of His Coming. The Jews predicted the Messiah's name would be Elohim, meaning God with Us. (HE WAS). The problem is, that they didn't think that He was the Messiah, because his name didn't match. His name was actually Yoshua, (since J wasn't even invented until about 500 years ago). Yoshua means God Saves. While many religions recognise the existance of a man named Jesus, religions differ on whom He was. Was He the word of God made flesh as the bible says? or Was He just the Son of God? We all are sons and daughters of God, but the scripture agree and also document the virgin birth of Jesus as well.

The Romans had information of Palestinian communities, alongside with the Essene at Masada who had comparable ideals as later christian communities. yet you're appropriate, no checklist of a guy named Jesus. it relatively is extra probably that he's a composite of countless preachers familiar as messiahs around that factor, with a great deal of exaggeration thrown in via followers in later centuries. merely like Robin Hood- historic, yet no longer particularly precise. Christianity did no longer unfold via twist of destiny, it accompanied familiar commerce routes and blossomed in Europe after the autumn of the roman empire. There are exciting christian preachers that unfold all a thank you to China during the darkish a while too.

Why do you think it caught on like wildfire despite intense persecutions? Because the people who were alive during the time of the Apostles (from where we get our oldest surviving Biblical manuscripts) knew the events of their own times and copied them! Do you think people were stupid back then? This was all the news!
I must now ask you, what proof do you have that Aristotle existed?

Actually, there are Roman records that say he was crucified for sedition. Unfortunately, they are all in museums or the Vatican for safe keeping, and very few people get to see them, not even people who could read what is written on the scrolls and documents.

Jews and Muslims even say Jesus existed, trying to prove Jesus didn't exist is lying it's been proved he existed but requires faith that he was the Son of God. Jesus has been proved to have existed research before you ask dumb questions

The Jesus of the New Testament did not. The Christian Jesus was adopted from Pagan cultures.

Modern biblical scholarship makes a very compelling case for the idea that Jesus never existed... that he was, in fact, entirely fictional.
