"Boyfriends" [and girlfriends for the guys] can appear at any time and from everywhere.
However....some suggestions:
Hook up with those who share the same interests as you have. From this, you may well find a nice boyfriend. If this happens, you will also have a boyfriend who shares a common enthusiasm with you. And, you'll have a bunch of good friends, too!
Often, we find boyfriends through friends, also. Personal experiences with others and recommendations from the experiences of others have had are usually good indications of a prospective boyfriend's character. You'll always want to be associated with others who have good reputations and characters.
Church and school activities are another good source of all kinds of friends. Go out into the world with others, with good intentions in mind, and good people and events will come to you!
