I am 15 turning 16 in november and I am 5'8. I'm still growing and whatknot so i'm just curious what do you think is the appropiate amount of calories I should intake during a day and I am pretty active I walk probably around 5 miles on a daily basis.

First, a general rule of thumb is 1,200 is a bare minimum. 1,500-2,500 is the general range. Here are a few links to help you figure out how many calories are good for you. The second link is to help you with your food needs.
