yes do what the other people said get rid of it but make sure you are ready to deal with the temper that you might get i really like the one about the binky fairy and make sure that once it is gone you do not let him have it back don't take it make them get rid of it that way they will feel good about doing it! good luck it is not easy but just remember after a little while the binky will not be the problem any more then it is the bathroom potty time!

Before my son turned two the doctors said to cut the tip of his nuk off but that didn't work for my son so about 4 days before he turned two I took away his nuk and the first two days it was bad when he went to bed and woke up in the morning but after that he didn't remember it and 5 months after I took it away from him he got a new baby sister and she sucks on the nuk and he has showed no interest in in and it has been 4 months. So I would just take it away and it will only take a couple of days for her to forget about it and don't give in.

gather up all her binkis and take one and cut just the tip off..give it back to her at this point she may still suck on it...allow this for a couple days...then cut off alittle more...keep going until nothing left..she will put is down when she cant put it in her mouth anymore and forget about it.good luck!

its not your job unless you are the primary carer ,If you are then the best way is to make a deal with the child ,buy her something special to sleep with and explain that she gets that if she gives you the binkis, then throw them all away and refuse to buy more ,she will cry but if you calmly remind her that she made a choice ,she will settle after a while.

when my youngest was almost 2 years old my husband decided that it was time to take her off the bottle. so one day while i was gone he hid it (i found out about a month later) and i didn't know where it was and i looked everywhere so my husband suggested that we just ween her since she wasn't on formula anymore anyway. so for about a week i had to deal with her crying in the middle of the night because i didn't have a bottle to give her. i was exausted (he didn't help because he worked from 4 am til about 4pm) finally she was able to sleep without it and she didn't need it anymore. when i found out what he did i wanted to kick the crap out of him but in the end it was worth it. we did the same with the pacifier and she did better without that than the bottle but it was worth it in the end. so i suggest that when she's asleep hide it from her. it'll be tough at first but she'll learn to live without it

My son was on the bottle until he was 21/2 finally i told him to throw it away cause he was a big boy and didnt need it anymore. He did just that so i threw away the rest, it took him a few nights of crying but soon he forgot all about it. Just be patient when you do take it cause it they feel comfortable while they have them it is like taking away something that you use everyday. just keep reminding her, she is a big girl and that will make her feel better. Kids like to be told they are big.

Just take it away from her and then I know she is going to suck on her thumb once that happens. But it's going to wear off of her at some point of time.If it's not a health problem then just leave it be because she is going to get tired of it and she's going to grow out of it.

Just take it away. It won't be a pretty night, but it needs to be done if you want her to have good teeth.
