I just started the nuvaring last month, took it out last wed. had bleeding today, changed my tampon and there was this long piece of tissue thats a light pinkish color , a little spots of dark blood. I tried breaking it up and it all stayed together in one piece.

Your doctor should have explained to you that using any sort of IUD device causes increased bleeding. This is only the sloughing off of your uterine lining...normal during all periods.

Sometimes, though, the monthly buildup of the uterine lining does not completely extrude, or the uterus starts building up a thicker uterine lining than normal. These are all indications to have a D & C performed. A dilation and curretage simply cleans out the buildup, and helps your uterus get back to normal.

See your gynecologist.

i had a miscarage afew weeks ago. i knew i was preg. and i started bleeding like a light period. then i passed clots of blood, so i called the doc. i went in for a check-up. he said everything was fine. a few days later i passed tissue [ it looks like plasenta].
i went back to the doc and i wasnt preg anymore. if you think you are haveing a miscarage your not supposed to wear a tampon. my doc said when you have a miscarage there is something wrong with the fetus and it had nothing to do with me. im so sorry that it happend.

a lot of people get pregnant and miscarry without even knowing it. A lot of times when a woman misses a period she was in the process of concieving a baby and her body rejected it because something was not right. I would not worry about it too much. Would you rather miscarry or have a full term pregnancy and have a baby who had something wrong with it?

I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks, mainly it was a lot of uncontrolable blood. It also contained tissue and a little white sack.
