What, you think they had CAMERAS then? Unless you can find pictures PAINTED by colonists, I think you're SOL. In the meantime, these should help...

You can't find pictures of old colonial New Jersey! Louis-Jacques-Mande Daguerre was the inventer of the first camera, and this wasn't until the 1830s'.
Notation: Daguerre was also the one who first invented daguerreotypes, hence his name. He innovated the first camera from his discoveries.
