Brush and floss twice a day at least. Brush your gums, the roof of your mouth and the top of your tongue too. Then rinse well.

Three entities to be considered in a differential diagnosis .
1. Intern's thrush . -deposit of food and exfoliated cellular debris which can be removed easily by brushing ,
2. True thrush or candida albicans - a fungal coating that will leave a bleeding surface when removed .requiring antifungal therapy
3. Leukoplakia -a white ,usually raised area that cannot be removed easily that can be a precursor to carcinoma and must be biopsied .

In addition to regular brushing flossing, as described by Bluealt, use Listerine or another bacteria killing mouthwash. Discuss the problem with your dentist as well.
