Typically, a month, two? Don't tell me to stop carbs, and weight lift. Just how long if I follow healthy eating habits and exercise five times a week. I am 27 yrs old, 5'7, and 170lbs.

You should start within a week, really. As long as you are running at a decent speed (say 6+ miles an hour) and are doing it for 45 minutes to an hour each time, and are limiting yourself to 1500 to 1700 calories a day. The pounds will start coming off pretty quickly.

It depends on how long you've been doing it and if this is the first or second, etc. time you've tried. Also, do you lead a normally active lifestyle? If so it could take longer because you are already at a threshold.

I would say probably a week or two based on what you describe, though.
