after they promised you they would do anything for you then even though they still say they love you they decided the circumstances... different countries etc is too much. He is my best friend how do I get over him when I hate the thought of losing him and he still wants to be friends? Although maybe not now I said somethings to him today when I was hurt...

If love is real, genuine, unconditional love, it shall always remain with you. Time and space cannot change that. Don't worry if you will get together with that person or not...I have found that if you just focus on living life and appreciating each day as it comes, love does indeed come to you...And if you do indeed get together with your estranged love, then cherish them and make each moment count...And if you do not, then your path in life will most certainly lead you to someone else who will love you back and actually be there for you...I am in a similar situation...I'm still in love with my ex from a few years back...we still keep in touch...and if it is meant to be, then it will be...I think things like this are more a case of letting life unfold as it should...sometimes we have to go through a lot of rough spots, a lot of lonliness, a lot of bad relationships, a lot of pain to get where we desire to go...but just remember to enjoy the journey...learn what you can and move on...trust me, if someone wants you badly enough, they'll find you....

Unfotunately this type of nasty thing does happen in the world.
Firstly, you need to remember that although it doesn't feel like it rightnow. It WILL get better.
Also, remember, that sometimes it amy seem that your friends just expect you to get over it. This is NOT the case. If you want to have a day where you feel naff and just feel miserable, then you can. You are entitled to.
Just take each day as it comes and set yourself goals. Other things to keep yourself occupied.
Remember that everything happens for a reason and it will be much easier and one day, it will be better for you.
Everyone goes through this but everyone feels the pain differently and thats why its hard to advise peopleon what to do.
In terms of friendship with the guy, despite you saying hurtful things, this will work itself out. We all say nasty things and don't really mean them. Eventually, the understanding will shine through and you will get it sorted.
I promise you only this. You will find your way.

If it is a matter of him relocating to a different country, there is not much you can do. If you choose to stay friends with him, it will be a long distance friendship.
I would suggest you start getting out and meeting new people. Long distance relationships are difficult to hold on to. Often people grow apart because of the distance and begin to find new interests as well.
