We are never told how long Adam lived before God gave him Eve but he did see God create all the animals he had a personal relationship with God he was not a "babe" so to speak in the ways of God.
Eve was in a way though, she was perhaps the more inexperienced of the two, weaker in a sense, that is why the Devil chose to tempt her.
Like a lion seek out prey he try to fine the younger or weaker in the group and target them, it worked fro him.
As far a responsibility, the Bible said Eve ate of the fruit and she gave some also to her husband and he ate of it. Just because Eve gave it to him DID NOT mean he had to eat it, he made that choice and we have to pay because of that decision. Romans 5:12 says- through one MAN sin entered into the world and death through sin and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned.

Gen 3:6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
12 The man said, "The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it." (He blamed her)
13 Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?"
The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate." (She blamed the serpent) Then go back and look at Gen 2: 15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die." (The Lord told Adam first)
18 The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." .......I think adam...

This makes me think of a great quote:
"Your tradition would say that Eve brought about the Fall when she convinced Adam to eat of the fruit. Mine would say that Adam did when God asked who caused this and Adam pointed to Eve. Which is the worst crime: disobedience or betrayal?"

Neither. God played a mean trick on them. At the time that god was holding them accountable for doing the wrong thing (eating the forbidden fruit), they did not know the difference between right and wrong... they were complete innocents, and they didn't know any better. It is only AFTER they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil that they could be considered to have 'free will' in the sense of choosing good or bad.
God is an evil trickster, and the whole fall of man thing, and original sin, was a mean trick on the human race.

Clearly the women, she ate first and then persuaded the man to partake. But, actually the bible refers to it as the sin of Adam and says that sin came into the world through Adam. So go figure. Who cares anyways, we're all sinners and in need of saving grace.

Adam is more responsible because he allowed the serpent into the garden and stood by as Eve was being tempted. He was in charge of keeping the garden and reminding his woman not to disobey God's command about the tree.

You know it's bait when you say "Religious only". Although I usually respect the askers request, I just can't help myself when they go and make ridiculous slanderous comments like "We're the only ones who can think." I'm sorry, I didn't realize it only qualifies as thinking if you only think in one narrow religious view and use a book and an imaginary friend to guide that thinking. And if you report abuse because you requested religious only I'll report abuse for saying I can't think. I don't think it will come to that though. I hope my fellow godless heathens come help in this refute.
And for your question, I think that the fictional Eve served her purpose better and helped oppress women for a long time until the civil rights movement. Too bad.

Eve because even after she knew not to eat the fruit, she convinced Adam to eat it.

"As we are the only ones capable of thinking" is a little insulting.
My view on the issue is Adam is to blame, as he was the first sinner. He was supposed to love his wife and protect the garden. He failed to protect his garden when he allowed the serpant to enter. Then he failed to love (honor and protect) his wife by allowing her to eat the fruit and allowing the serpant to enter the garden. SURPRISE!!!! I guess Atheists can think huh?

Sorry...Your question is...Let's see the fall of man...Who is responsible...try MAN...neither Adam or Eve existed and even if they did GOD (assuming there is one) wouldn't have done what he/she/it did to them. We came into being with FREE WILL and we continue to exercise it for good or bad. Unfortunately, we tend to do more harm than good as a species. PEACE!
