A womans highest and most important calling is to be a mother. No other calling can compare with the raising of the next generation. We are the stewards of this world and we must train our young to take over and hopefully do a better job than us. No one else can do that task. Sure the men can teach but they do not bear the weight of childbirth and have the instincts that a mother possess'. That is the greatest calling.

It's hard to say what "calling" is best. For some people, the best choice might be to become a minister or a news caster. For others, the best choice might be to become a teacher or a health care professional.
I think as long as you are happy with your choices, you are doing what is best for you. Doesn't matter if you are a stay at home mother or father or a CEO.

I live in Quebec and last week this happened;
A mother's house was burning down. She ran THROUGH the flames to get to her 5 & 10 yr old kids, covered them up, and ran back through the flames to her room @ the front of her house. Smashing her bedroom window with her bare hands, she got her kids to grab onto the curtains as she lowered them from her 2nd storey window, meanwhile her body on fire. (!!!) she then jumped from the window and was saved but 3rd degree burns covered 80% of her body, while her kids only suffered minor injuries.
I'm not sure if this is a high calling or not, but my heart ached for this woman that would sacfrice her own health to protect her children.....
....That is love....

For woman, the highest calling is to bring forth children and raise them to Revere GOD, honor the Justice, to grant mercy and love one another. Note, women are privileged to bear the birth, and stronger than most men, as they carry the child for months, having much greater patience and generally more ability to suffer the pains of birthing....perhaps men can bear some of this in like manner, but consider how weak minded and weak will most men are, its probably a good thing God entrusted the female with being the birthers in most of the species.

None is better, none is lesser. Each is tailored to God's purpose for the individual.
If I aspire to a calling that appears higher than my own, I am hoping for something that is other than God's plan for me, and therefore I am hoping out of pride. If I aspire to a calling that appears lower than my own because I feel I cannot rise to the challenge, then I am believing the "evidence" of my own eyes instead of believing that God will give me the power to do what he asks.
One cannot judge higher and lower. No calling is more crucial or more essential. If one deems a calling as better or lesser, one is judging through the eyes of the world. All callings are all equally important.
To humbly accept whatever it is God asks us to do...that is the highest act of faith.

To be like the Blessed Virgin Mary. It isn't possible to do fully, but to get as close as she can is the highest calling and the greatest honor any woman could aspire to.
