First.... research the breed if you are not that familiar with it. I have Newfoundlands which have some of the characteristics of St. Bernards. Many people don't realize that not only do they drool.... they slime for distance.

I would suggest contacting the St Bernard Club of America. They will give you a list of quality, reputable breeders in the area as well as Rescue organizations that only do St Bernards.

There are special breeders for these dogs. Should be able to get that info through the local vet. Are you sure about this I own a male St Bernard and they get BIG. Have plenty of room, old towels and alot of time to spend with them. They are just big babies.

Try looking at a Saint Bernard Rescue. I am sure you can find one, and you would get to save it's life at the same time. Try petfinder.com to start your search.
