Lets see how many of you all can figure this out?
I used to think trying to get that special someone was like running a race at a track meet. First ya gotta get through that qualifying heap. Then if ya make it to the finals you betta run the race of your life cos in the sport of love only one can take the prize.
Later I realized that chasing after someone means that person is obviously running away from you. If that person wanted to be with you then why the chase? Why the race? For most its just a game of competition in which we all have to compete. Usually the fastest, smoothest runner finishes first. But does that make this person the best for you? Do you reward the most athletic and quickest, the most experienced or the popular runner becos he or she is a track star? What about that one that goes unnoticed? The one who got in the race against all odds becos they truly wanted to be with you. That one who's in it for the love of the sport, not just to win another trophy or claim another prize. That diamond in the rough got passed by. He or she will probably never catch up to ya but they keep running around in circles, hoping you'll notice the effort and the comittment.
Basically my advice is to stop hosting track meets. Stop acting like a trophy piece. Stop trying to score more points and realize that you dont have to finish first to come out on top.
So did that make any sense to any?
