Good question. I guess it would depend on why she is getting her nails done on a regular basis. If it's for boys . . no. If it's to look older. . . no. If it's to be popular/fashionable . .. maybe. If it's just because she likes them like that . . . sure.

The problem with 13-year-old girls is that they are so susceptible to the people around them that you really have to watch and figure out the motives of their every move.

I have sculptured nails, and have them done every 2 weeks.....my daughter was always asking for nails, but I told her it was inappropriate for her age. I would pay for her to have manicures when I got mine done. She learned to take care of her natural nails -- is now 17 and has absolutely beautiful hands! If you can afford it, pamper her, but don't let her get the fake ones.

If she is paying for it with her own hard earned money. It is a pamper, and not good for a 13 year old to be pampered like that because it could make her snobby and spoiled.

if she is a smart girl in school and does what she is told, why not. That could be used as a reward for good behavior.

Parent that would allow it? A visit from a social worker would be appropriate.
