it depends on what you are watching i guess :) seriously though you can always turn it off or you could cuddle and watch the tv or talk. i think it depends on the couple. if you put a tv in the bedroom and find that it is hurting the romance in your relationship move it out of the bedroom.

We bought a bedroom TV for our anniversary several years ago. :-)
It has actually been a help to our intimacy. We stretch out on the bed next to each other, petting and stroking and holding each other all night, instead of sitting on the couch. I'll lie with my head down at the foot of the bed, my wife stretches a leg over my chest and I rest my arm around her hips and caress her bottom, holding her close to me after the kids are in bed. I refer to this as "skin time" -- several hours an evening when we are just pressed up against each other, doing something else but in conscious, intimate contact. It's WONDERFUL.
One key trick, though -- be sure to get Tivo so you can pause the show when you want to get physical. Though a word of warning: Tivo only pauses live TV for 30 minutes, so we're always sure to mute it -- or turn it off -- before we start in on the serious stuff, because it can be very distracting to be in the throes of wild hot sex and suddenly have Dave Letterman start reading his Top Ten list just as we're seconds away from achieving mutual simultaneous bliss...

Just imagine you craving for sex n your hubby watching porn ignoring you....you do the math...lol
Well actually Its upto you...I'll tell you two situations
i) Get a nice romantic movie, put it lean on guys chest n watch it with him...dosent that sound good?
ii) TV is something we watch regularly. And late nights perhaps. What if he wants to watch it n you wanna sleep or if its the other way round?
Considering both the situations what have you thought of?

i dont think so put in the porn seriously.. and if the 2 of you are really watching tv while having romance its not romance. the 2 of you should be pleasing the other not t.v.

Depends on what is showing and how often the thing is really on.
A shoot'em up or Sci-fi show is not very romantic neither is a comedy sitcom. And watching the news sure isn't.
Sports is also out.
So now you have your answer.
