No, you said the name in the question. Church of Jesus Christ. He is the one that established the church around 33AD. He is head of It, gave his life for It. Catholic did not come into being until some 270 years later. This was foretold in the New Testament, to paraphrase, some will come telling you what to eat and Jesus told us through the scriptures to call no one 'father' because only God is our Father. In addition, we as Christians are all Priests and do not need someone to go between us and God except Jesus.

How can supposed Bible believing Christians teach that Jesus Christ could found a church, promise to preserve and protect it, and then allow it to be replaced by a pagan church, which was then "reformed" into a "tower of babel" church with no common creed, and no uniform set of beliefs and practices, some fifteen hundred years later?
Give me a break!
Of course the church that is known today as "Roman Catholic" is the very same church that Jesus Christ founded, just as it is written, and it is the same church that he will always guide and protect, until the end of time.
The gulliability of some people is absolutely amazing. Lots of false teachers out there. Lots of people being deceived.

Catholic means united. The roman catholic church took that name. The original catholic church has NOTHING to do with the roman catholic church.
For hundreds of years there was only one church on earth. Our Lord's church was described in Scripture as "the church of God" (1 Cor. 1:2), "house of God" (1 Cor. 2:15) and the "churches of Christ" (Rom. 16:16). Catholic (A.D. 606), Lutheran (A.D. 1530), Episcopal (A.D. 1534), Presbyterian (A.D. 1536), Baptist (A.D. 1611), Methodist (A.D. 1739) and all other man-made churches did not yet exist.
The first church -- the one that Jesus built -- still exists today. It is to this church -- his church -- that our Lord adds the saved. The church of Christ can be found anywhere religious people abandon the creeds and denominations of men and practice the New Testament alone. Dear Friend, are you a member of the first church -- the one that Jesus built?

No, thectholic church was the first church established in the Roman empire. there were other churches started in other areas about the same time. But christianity started in the middle east where the desciples taught, even before the apostle paul started setting up churches in different places.

I don't know where it says that? Paul and Silas were sent on their first mission from Antioch not Jerusalem where the Apostles were still located. Sounds to me as if each church was self directed... Jim

NO, a body of believers gathered it did not matter what color, race or distinction they were. It did not matter if they were young, old, male, or female. What mattered was they knew the truth of Jesus Christ the Savior of the WORLD.
