I was wondering about the live cultures in yougurt. Is there certain temperatures that they cannot live in? For example if I put the yogurt in the freezer and then back in the fridge will the bacteria be dead. Also the other end of the spectrum if the bacteria in yogurt get too warm will they die? Or does temperature not affect the baceria? Does bacteria have a lifespan and does this effect the yougurt in anyway. Is this why yogurt expires or is it just like other dairy products?

Not sure how cold you can get it. If you pasturize it the culture will be dead.
