their everlasting hell because they don't have any logical information to believe in him from...Does satan have him on a leash? (Note: The bible is a 2000 year old book with tons of flaws that reflect the knowledge of earth, philosophy, and education of the average person in that era and says that it, itself is the word of god, which would be considered a biased source therefore not logical to believe).... Is it sinful to embrace logic?

also, plz note that any insults that do not attempt to prove anything, or claims that the bible have been proved through science , which I found by myself almost completely false or bleak no matter what your preacher/minister told you, really don't help answer this question.

WHEN??? When did this happen?

No...a 2000 year old book, which I already explained is illogical to believe 'said' he did that? That really doesn't cut it for the eternal condition of my soul.

He already has. If you choose not to accept that, then the fault lies with you, and not with Him. If you choose to find flaws that do not exist in the Bible, then that also is your choice.

The bible is not supposed to be infallible (always correct) about matters of science, geography, or history. There are geographical flaws in it--glaring flaws, too. The bible is infallible about matters of faith only. The Old Testament is for learning about past mistakes and to learn good morals and lessons. It is not sinful to embrace logic.

As for why won't God come down....well even if He did then most non-believers wouldn't believe anyway. It's based on whether or not you can believe without seeing. But I personally don't think that all non-christians go to hell. I know Athiests who are better than Christians. Why do the Christians go to heaven if they are bad, for simply believing? Ridiculous. Anyway I hope this answered some questions. Also by the way I am not a typical Catholic, or even Christian. I am liberal Catholic, which I suppose is a self-coined term. But I follow the Catholic church and I interpret the law as I see fit.

Would it do any good for him to show himself? Really.. would people really believe it was him? I think we need to look at the whole basis of faith. Faith is a hope in things not seen, so I think most people today have lost the faith that they need to believe in such things. Logic isn't necessarily the end all, be all. Sometimes logic, no matter how well intentioned, is flawed. I'm not saying that everyone who has faith, or who believes in God is right. That isn't the case, just that maybe we should just let everyone believe what they will and not try to drag others down by saying they are wrong, or what they believe isn't logical.

To me, belief in God is logical. I don't think that we evolved from a little tiny one celled organism. There had to be a blueprint there from the beginning. I'm not saying that evolution is wrong, just that I don't think it happened the way it is stated.

I don't think the bible is totally correct and without errors. We are talking about a book that was written and changed by mans hand. I believe the teachings in the bible are what are important. I believe that it has been changed throughout the years to reflect more of what men think then what God thinks. But I don't think the prophets who wrote their books thought that it would be for millions of people to read. It was meant to help them, to help others. It was a sort of journal to them, their experiences, their knowledge that they had at the time. Times change, what we see as important change. Maybe to them a mule falling in a quagmire was a horrible thing that they found a solution to. They wanted to share that with others. Does this mean that it isn't important to me, today? No. It can still be useful, but we need to look at it objectively and not try to lean everything we believe on it.

As far as Satan having God on a leash.. it is the other way around. Satan made his choice, he decided to go against what God wanted for all of us. He does have power right now to lead us astray, but we have to power to eliminate him from our lives. That is where faith comes in. Satan may have power right now, but it wouldn't be so if we didn't open ourselves up to the opportunity. To me, faith gives me the advantage. I can look at something and say without a doubt whether I want to participate in that activity or not. If I have faith that what I was taught was true, then it gives me the advantage to look at things objectively. It doesn't matter to me what others believe, just that they live what they believe. That is all that matters to me.

He has showed Himself in human form as Jesus Christ and He continues to show Himself as the Creator of everything we see around us. From the universe that is trillions of light years large to the subatomic particles seen when atoms are smashed in a centrifuge, the scientific principles behind physics, chemistry, quantum mechanics, etc and the amazing diversity of life in the world from giant dinosaurs to viruses visible only with an electron microscope. Any single one of these things contains more knowledge than we can hope to master in one lifetime much less the vast sum of creation God has made. For whatever reason, God has decided to give humans the power of free will to choose or reject Him and after we die we are left with the consequences, good or bad, of whatever decision we have made.
When I see a car, I don't demand to see who created it and spend my life trying to disprove that it was created by someone who has more knowledge and power than me. I get in the car and enjoy the ride. And if for some reason, it doesn't start one day, I don't get out and say to everyone, "See, the person who made this car doesn't exist because the car won't start!" Because maybe, just maybe, I forgot to put gas in it.
There are libraries full of books by scientists thru the years who have already done the work of proving God's laws of nature are true and that research continues today...PROOF that God exists. If anyone doesn't believe they are true is free to perform their own experiments to prove their own theory.
The final simple point I want to make is that the "evidence" is all around us in many different ways. The simple truth is God loves us and wants us to love Him and the Creation He has made. He has provided us with everything we need to make that choice. It's up to us.
Up until now, you've chosen to hate Him or at least to fight against Him. Why don't you try the other way for awhile? Why waste your time trying to disprove God? Enjoy the ride!

He does! People are not looking or listening. That is not God's fault that they don't look or listen. It does not take logic to believe in God, it takes faith. The Bible is the only truth available to mankind and contains no errors. It is not God's fault that people do not ask for His help to understand it. Read Romans chapter 1 in The Holy Bible and Hebrews 11:1-6.

God shows Himself everyday to all those who will accept Him. I think people who don't see God in this creation are pretty dumbfounded or just ignorant.

How do you know how old the Bible is? You must have heard that from someone or been taught that. If you don't believe in God, why are you using satan as reference?

It is logical to believe in God. It is logical to believe in creation. Do you feel emotion? Of course you do. You are apart from the animals.
If you would research deeper into God's love of mankind, you would see how foolish it is to question Him.

God has shown himself to this world. I take it you have not studied microbiology, the mechanisms of DNA reproduction, cellular biology, molecular biology, or biochemistry (by the way, I have). The intricasies(sp?) of cellular mechanisms are outstanding. The idea that these are all developed on random events is highly illogical. And has many more flaws than you claim the bible presents

i feel you elmo, God doesn't exsist. Just look at the world now. I find it scary anyone who puts there faith in something like that. Think about it. How niave can a person be. It is because of these false religions the world is at war. So don't forget to thank a Christian for the planes going into the WTC, or your high school buddy that died in Iraq serving his country not god. AHHHHHH, I hate religion. Look around and see what it has done.

because apparently showing himself would be too easy. or he wawnts us to burn in hell. or perhaps there is no god. or perhaps this is a game between god and satan where neither can intervene directly (it would seem as though the rules changed from old to new testament with direct intervention). regardless good question, and yes the bible has tons of flaws it in. they dont realize that this book, written by MAN, claims man is sinful (lies are a sin) claims to be 100% the truth?

Think about it... 2000 years ago, a man named Jesus walked the earth and performed miracles. People laughed at Him, and killed him because He proclaimed himself to be God as revealed to men.

2000 years later, with man as hateful as spiteful as back in the days of Noah... do you honestly think it would have been any different? I'm sure scientists would be the first to mock Him, and atheists (extreme ones, mind you) would be first in line to kill Him.

What has this world done to deserve His mercy?
-Nothing.

There are Christians out there who have faith but the majority of the world has turned their backs on God.

God doesn't have to prove anything to anyone.
