The auto company's run tests to ensure that you can go at least 30 miles with the fuel light lit up. Usually engineers put in a safety margin, so those saying 30 to 50 miles are probably about right.
Better question is, are you sitting at idle in traffic or driving at highway speeds? If you're at idle for long periods of time, as one would guess if you're going to Yahoo Answers while driving, then you will likely burn more fuel in less miles.

Probably about 25 miles. Get gas tho at the first sight of a station. Dont look for the cheapest just the closest.
Wait how can you be driving on the freeway and using a computer. I dont think so.

It depends on how large your gas tank is a what kind of mileage your car gets. Just to be safe, avoid driving no more than 30 miles with the light on.
To be extra safe, be sure your cell phone is fully charged when you drive long distances. Upgrading your AAA membership to the Plus plan wouldn't hurt, also. You can get a tow for up to 100 miles free of charge. Also, if your car does run out of gas, don't forget that you can always call AAA and have them deliver enough gas to you to get you to the next gas station.

It varies, but usually about 10 miles. A good rule of thumb is to never let your car drop below 1/4 of a tank. Just mentally think of that as the critical level and you will never run out of gas. I hope you made it to the gas station!

You usually have about 1-2 gallons or so of gas left. So if you get 22 miles to the gallon, about 40 miles. Depends on what your mpg is.

When a gas light comes on , it means you only have about two gallons left. Try to coast and usually only get 25 miles to a gallon. Don't let it run out, as it will suck all the debre from the gas tank up into your carborator and fuel injectors.

There should be about one-half gallon of fuel in the tank which surrounds the fuel pump in a small canister. I'd say that will get you 5 to 10 miles if you don't drive hard.

About 25-30 miles in my Jaguar. You can keep going until you run out of gas, unless you have a fuel injected engine, you'll be okay if you run out. AAA is a great back up.

Check your Owner's Manual, most 4 cyclinder engines will get you about 100 km's down the Road . If it's a V8 Hemi cross your fingers for 32km's and that's right out of the Owner's Manual.

Depends on the car. Some cars can go a few more miles, some none.
