RE:
What does the ACC stand for in your keyhole for your ignition? What does it do?
I was wondering if you could use it to run your sound system / dvd player / tv hookups when in ACC or if you should only have your car turned on when using it.

It stands for accessories. For instance, if you wanted to play your radio with out the engine running, you would turn your ignition key to ACC. Then radio runs directly from the battery.

ACC stands for "accessory," and yes, you can use items such as a sound system, DVD or TV player in this position. Just bear in mind that if you use these items while the vehicle is running, your alternator is charging your battery back up to full, whereas if you use them for extended periods of time while sitting still, you could drain your battery.

If you are listening to music or whatever, and NOT running the car, you should put the car on ACC (meaning: accessories), otherwise you could ruin the points in your car.
The points warm up when the car is in the ON position. Something to do with getting the car ready to start or something.

ACC is accessories and is exectly for that purpose. You can use your audio without the ignition being on.

You can run your sound system on ACC, but I certainly wouldn't for a long period of time, because it will run your battery down. For short time, it's OK.

As mentioned in your other question it depends if the cigarette lighter turns on/off with the key. Truthfully I'd rather reset the presets/clocks then risk either setting off the airbags. If it was me I'd take it to advanced/autozone and let them replace it for free
