Which one?

If you mean the one in the US, I've included a link below. Slavery was one reason -- but there were others.

If you mean the one in the UK -- then much of it was over Religious differences.

If you mean the one in Spain -- then the reasons are similar to those that allowed Mussolini and Hitler to come to power.

I'm not sure which war you are thinking of? Hopefully, the American Civil War is the one you are asking about.

1. the south refusing to give up slavery
2. when the confederates attacked Fort sumter in SC

i think that the north wanted to have inter racial marriage legal while the south wanted it to be illegal.

i think it is a racial conflict.
