you need to avoid:
SUGAR
WHITE BREAD, RICE, FLOUR, & PASTA (ONLY whole wheat)
DAIRY (try sticking to non fat soy or non fat milk)
ALCOHOL ( alcohol has so much sugar, no beer no wine)
FRUIT JUICE (don't drink any, they are full of sugar. Only V8)
FRUIT (with the exception of berries...strawberries, raspberries, blueberries which will provide you with protein)
JUNK FOOD (all junk foods)
STARCH (no potatoes or veggies w/ starch...no bananas)
SODA (even diet soda)

Foods you can eat:

VEGGIES (brocoli, asparagus, squash, carrots, peas...the greener they are, the better...eat tons of salad)
WHITE MEAT (skinless & boneless)
FISH (wild alaskan salmon, tuna)
EGGS (try eating egg whites)

So basically just stick to eating white meat or fish with veggies. For breakfast have an egg white omelet w/ low fat cheese, asparagus, and onions.

For lunch: have a salad w/ fresh greens and tuna. Make your own dressing by blending Extra Virgin Olive oil and Balsamic vinigrette.

Dinner: Have Grilled Salmon, with sauteed asparagus and brocoli.

Good luck: You might want to try the South beach Diet. I'm on my second week and I've already lost 5 pounds.

Adkins works great. You can buy the book and menus in a book store or on line. I lost 20 pounds in 3 months.

sounds like you want something like the Atkins diet.

Basically eat lots of meat, eggs and cheese and stay away from bread, pasta, potatoes and sugar, sweeteners are okay tho so its bearable...
