I want to Catch the Big One.

do you want to find the fish? if not use dynamite and you can just assume you got the big one. i would go with the rod and reel because you can still eat the fish and no matter how much fun large explosives are, and they are very fun, they are illegal. damn laws.

Rod and Reel is the best way to fish. Using dynamites is a bad thing and I believe it's illegal. The only way to catch the big one is to start early, have good lures and bait, and a six pack wouldn't hurt either.

I'd say the rod and reel. For some reason or another people call the cops on you if you use dynamite.

If you wanna really catch a big one, go out right after a violent lighnting storm and scoop up stunned fish off your local fishing hole. Lightning has to strike the water and when it does --- BAM everything is shocked within a 500 ft radius. They remain lathargic for about 20 minutes or so. I found a channel 70# catfish that way.
