Yes, I am proud to say I do.

The area I live in has enacted a comprehensive recycling effort designed to get as much recyclable material as possible back into the system. There is now a fee attached to the real estate taxes so everyone has to pay it. Even renters because the landlord is allowed to add it to the rent. People at first complained but later when they learned that they were actually going to pay less for trash pickup they calmed down. It worked to a sort of group discount.

Tires can be put out twice a month. That gets them hauled instead of laying around providing perfect breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
Engine oil up to four gallons per month. That way it isn't getting dumped on the ground to poison our water.
All recyclable materials go into seperate tubs and the trucks that come after it have seperate compartments.

I soak any stubborn labels in water overnight so they come off. Anything plastic I scrutinize for symbols.

All glass and metals can be sent too, that keeps it from going to the landfill which will one day be full if we don't act now to send back as much as possible.

If you need to get rid of a refrigerator it costs a whole $1.00! You just have to call ahead and get a sticker to put on it. They need to have a special truck and crew to move the heavy stuff.

I think it is a good deal. I save money on waste hauling and get valuable materials into the proper recycling centers. Recycling uses a lot less energy than digging up the raw materials and processing from new.

I like to think I am helping make the world a better place for my grandchildren and for all of mankind.
